There Is Rice At Home

Given the context and learnings from Muoh’s other works, this statement speaks to the notion that where there is rice, there is stability since mouths are being fed. However, the knowledge that this imported staple is some of the poorest quality in the world and it is imported into a country so rich in untapped natural resources, including agricultural land, remains a pain point. Like many other millennials, Muoh is deeply concerned about the future and the reliance of her country on external powers and the rampant corruption and greed that has saturated Africa, including Nigeria.
