Here, a local shop is a canvas for a host of instantly recognized branding – globalization and capitalism are alive and well wherever you go! The bicycle in front speaks to the hawker culture where vendors sell wares they have bought at these wholesale brick-and-mortar stores. The graffiti is a commentary by Muoh, a reference to the fact that when graffiti is left on a space, it allows a culture of degradation to pervade – when we do not address issues, they fester.
