Through a series of documentary photographs from her travels between 2018 and 2021, Balnura Nussipova’s engagement with film photography presents an autobiographical landscape of her journeys across Kazakhstan. Her series exposes a selection of her memories and encounters, which establishes a dialogue between the exchange of consciousness while tackling themes such as identity, political critique, friendship, and memory.
